Review of Honeywell Evohome intelligent heating control system

Independent review of Honeywell evohome intelligent heating system from Clarity Heating

While this product has been on the market for a couple of years I’d say it’s only in the last year or so that installers have begun to realise just what a great system this really is.

Developed by Honeywell, who already have a fantastic reputation in the heating products market, the evohome heating system allows property owners the ability to create and individually control up to 12 heating zones – it will also control your hot water.

Maximum control means saving pennies

We’ve been banging on for ages about how tech which gives back control to the homeowner is the next best thing since sliced bread and the evohome intelligent heating system from Honeywell is right up there! With the installation of multiple temperature sensing devices around the property you can control the heating in individual rooms, groups of rooms (by activity) – or rooms which are close together.

It’s this level of control at your finger tips which is allowing you to take control of how warm a zone (a single room or group of rooms) is, and when the heating is on or not, completely independent of other zones in the same property. It’s a system that can be totally tailored to your needs.

Total control of your boiler is just a finger tip away

What’s more the ability to access the management of the system by a touchscreen control in the property, or remotely by way of an app on your tablet or smartphone, means that when we say control is just a finger tip away we really mean it.

Who is the evohome gas boiler aimed at?

evohome, with it’s sophisticated zoning solution, is suitable for any home with a wet heating system, adding control of your heating to even the simplest of property layouts. It’s ideal for controlling temperatures in larger properties too such as:

  • larger family homes
  • luxury apartments
  • homes with business use
  • multiple occupancy apartments
  • light use commercial spaces (ie doctors surgeries and small offices)

And what’s really important is the installation of the wireless radiator controllers (temperature sensing device) is done without altering existing pipework, ruining decor or damaging other parts of your home/space.

How much does it cost to have a Honeywell evohome intelligent heating system installed in your property?

Prices are very reasonable and start from just £250.00 (including VAT) which includes the Evohome touchscreen controller with built in Wi-Fi, installation and setup. This will give you smart phone access with time and temperature control to the whole heating system.

If you want to go a bit further and have control of individual room temperatures then you’ll need to add the Radiator Controllers. Prices for this system start from £995.00 (including VAT) based on a heating system with 8 radiators.
