Boiler Installation FAQs

How long will it take for a heating hero to come out to me?

At Clarity Heating we take our role of getting your home or commercial building warm again very seriously, that’s why people call us the heating heroes. In fact customers have told us that very often we were the only heating company to respond to an urgent call.

We will ascertain the urgency of your situation and allocate our next available time slot. If you are an older or vulnerable person living alone or a family with young children we will get to you as soon as possible. Every urgent call we receive is important to us and we endeavour to get out to everyone the same day, this however may not always be possible, especially in colder months or busy periods – either way we will keep you informed so you know when we are coming.

How long will my boiler repair take and how much will it cost?

If your boiler repair is fairly straightforward, such as a new pump or pressure vessel we may only need a few hours to get your boiler up and running again. If the repair is more complicated we may need to come back the next day to complete the repair.

Our experienced heating engineer will diagnose the problem as soon as they can so you know what to expect. Typical costs for the most popular types of repair problems are as follows:

How long will a replacement boiler installation take and how much will it cost?

If a repair is no longer an option and we recommend a replacement boiler installation (which includes a flue pipe), this will take a little longer and typically be between 1 to 3 days, depending on the type, age and location of the original broken boiler and if the radiators also require a Power Flush.

During the replacement work our heating engineer will need to access all the radiators, airing cupboard(s) and loft space to check everything is working correctly – but most of the time they will concentrate on the area where the boiler is located.

Check out our Replacement boiler installations page for a list of our up to date charges.  Although your final quotation may vary – a typical family home will fall within this price bracket. We recommend and install only the very best boilers from manufacturers we trust (including Viessmann boilers and Grant boilers) and and and who make, in our opinion, boilers which are both efficient and long lasting, standing up to the rigours of daily use.

How long will my new boiler from Clarity Heating last?

In fact the boilers we install typically last anything from 15 to 20 years – and cost you less in the long run, both to heat your home and because it won’t need replacing as often as cheaper options. If we advise you that you’ll need a new boiler we’ll discuss boiler options with you so you can make an informed decision.

If you’re considering a replacement boiler installation, contact Clarity Heating via our request a quote form, or by calling us on 01353 862315.
