Central heating installations

Central heating installation in Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire from Clarity Heating - rated heating engineers from ElyIf you like in Suffolk, Norfolk or Cambridgeshire and you are considering a new or replacement boiler and/or new or replacement radiators (including pipework) in your home or commercial building, you are likely to be looking for a competent and professional business to carry out a central heating installation at your property.

Do you need new central heating installed?

We install only the very best boilers, controls and systems from manufacturers we trust and who make, in our opinion, units which are both efficient and long lasting, standing up to the rigours of daily use. In fact the boilers we install typically last anything from 15 to 20 years – and cost you less in the long run, both to heat your home and because it won’t need replacing as often as cheaper options.

At Clarity Heating our qualified heating engineers are experienced in working with all types of boilers (Gas, LPG and Oil), and in a wide variety of specialist buildings too, from period homes and estates, to community buildings such as village halls, schools and churches.

Why might I need new central heating?

There are many reasons why you may need a new central heating system installed, these may include:

  • poor performing radiators, which have cold patches that don’t go away despite repeated attempts to bleed the system.
  • large older radiators that may be hot to touch but do not heat the rooms sufficiently.
  • radiators which are full of sludge or debris, or have leaking radiator valves which may have seized up, which make them inefficient to run.
  • an extension or renovation which needs a better more efficient boiler to provide enough hot water and heating for the new space, along with additional radiators.

Is a hot water cylinder included in a central heating install?

It is quite possible you will need a new hot water cylinder in a central heating installation to enable us to complete your updated and efficient central heating installation, unless we are supplying a combination boiler, which doesn’t need one.

We don’t always recommend a new hot water cylinder with every central heating installation, but if your system is very old there are benefits from installing a cylinder which is far more efficient to heat up and store water.

We are happy to discuss whether you might need a new hot water cylinder during our initial conversation, so you can make an informed decision.

How long will the installation of a new central heating system take?

Installation of a new heating system for an average family can take anything from 3 to 7 working days, more bespoke and complex systems may take a little longer depending on the type of boiler, heating method chosen and size of the property.

Having central heating installed in your home or commercial building can be quite disruptive with the need for furniture to be moved around, carpets and floor boards taken up and regular access required to airing cupboard(s) and loft spaces (if applicable).

How much will my central heating system cost?

Costs will vary depending on the type of system you choose and the size of the property/building, however costs for a typical family home will be:

  • Combination boiler and radiators (incl pipework) from £4000 (incl VAT)
  • System boiler, hot water cylinder, and radiators (incl pipework) from £5500 (incl VAT)
  • We can also just supply and install radiators and new pipework (or adjust existing pipework), please contact us on 01353 862315 to discuss this option further.

Alternatively if you only require a new or replacement boiler you may find our pages on New Boiler Installations – for new builds, extensions, renovations and refits, and Boiler Repair and Replacements – for updating existing heating systems, useful.
